Zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel is a high-end anti-corrosion steel that forms a coating of three elements, Zn-Al-Mg, on the surface of low-carbon steel through a hot-dip coating process. The coating content is: Zn 60-70%, Al 20-30%, Mg 1.5-3.5%,. The addition of Mg further improves the performance of the steel, and it can make the steel self-repairing from scratches. ZAM steel offers outstanding corrosion resistance, machinability, and weldability, delivering high long-term cost-effectiveness.

- The flat surface of ZAM sheet metal exhibits red rust after ≥5000 hours in salt spray testing—5 to 8 times longer than standard hot-dip galvanized sheet metal (≥1000 hours).
